Micro Parts Manufacturing Technology

WANTS Corporation develops and produces ultra-precision micro parts and modules through Micro PIM / Micro PM processes based on raw material control technology.

Micro PIM Technology

Technology combining LIGA process (high-precision micro mold manufacturing) and PIM (powder injection molding), manufacturing micro-sized (ultra-compact) parts with high precision. Fine powder and binder are mixed, injection molded, and then undergo debinding and sintering processes.

Complex 3D shapes and high aspect ratio structures are achievable.

Advantages

LIGA + PIM hybrid process enables fine teeth and ultra-precision sidewalls (very low surface roughness)
Minimizes post-processing compared to conventional machining

Applications

Micro grippers, linkages, joints for surgical robots, Robotic-Assisted Surgery, robotics and precision equipment, high-value electronic packaging markets such as 5G and electric vehicle thermal management parts
